Denny Herzog

69 years old, retired. Born in Hannibal, Mo., Mark Twain’s hometown, not that that means much. Served in Vietnam in the U. S Navy. A graduate of the University of Missouri School of Journalism. Worked as reporter, editor, editorial writer, at various newspapers, including the Jackson (Tenn.) Sun, Binghamton (N.Y.) News, and the Glenwood Springs Post. Joined The Daily Sentinel in May 1979, as business editor. Served in various capacities at TDS (city editor, assistant to the publisher, managing editor, editor and executive editor) before retiring as executive editor and publisher in 2009. Adjunct lecturer in mass communication at CMU since January 2016. Married to Kathy for 38 years, one daughter and two grandchildren. Enjoy photography, walking, movies, reading, rebuilding my collection of classic rock vinyl (could kick myself for getting rid of all of it when I thought CDs were the be all and end all of recorded music) and travel.
