The time has finally come for the Program Activities Council (PAC) Spring Concert. This year’s headliner is Bryce Vine, with openers Baby Jake and Kid Caravan.
Bryce Vine is most notably known for his songs “Drew Barrymore” and “Sour Patch Kids.” He started his music career in 2011, after auditioning for The Glee Project.
“We took a lot of student input when deciding who was going to play the concert this year. We sent out a mass text asking for themes last semester, and then we had people vote on it on the Colorado Mesa University’s (CMU) Instagram story. That’s how we ended up with the theme Pop,” said PAC head chair Andrew Davis.
On the concert ideas website, PAC saw that Bryce Vine was an option, so he became one of their top picks, and eventually the headliner for the spring concert.
This is the biggest event PAC hosts on campus, and is open to all students for free, but PAC has some rules to remind students of.
“No water bottles, bags, weapons, obviously and no chairs. […] faculty and staff get a bit of a discount, and then [we] open it to the public, who can purchase general admission tickets–those go on sale next week.”
The concert is set for April 15 at the Grand Mesa field. Gates open at 5 p.m. and the concert is set to start at 7. Students get in for free with their MAVcard, general admission is $20 for faculty and staff and $40 for the community.
