Do re me fa so la.

April 1 through April 6, the Cultural Inclusion Council (CIC), formerly known as the Cultural Diversity Board, and its subsidiary alliances are hosting events that celebrate all of the different cultures at Colorado Mesa University.

Wednesday April 3, the Black Student Alliance (BSA) hosted karaoke night as part of Unity Fest.

Although there was some music played and a few moves busted, not a whole lot of singing occurred. However, the gathering in The Point acted as an opportunity for students to hang out, play pool and table tennis, catch up and overall have a great time.

Rowdy even stopped by for a minute!

Following this event, tomorrow April 4, in the Mav Pav from 7 – 11 p.m., the Latino Student Alliance (LSA) will be hosting a dance night. The evening will include a dance lesson followed by putting your new moves to use.

Friday, April 5, from noon – 2 p.m. the BSA and Gender and Sexuality Alliance (GSA), formerly known as the Gay Straight Alliance, will be hosting tie-dye day in the Alumni Quad, between Dominguez and Escalante.

Later that evening from 5 – 7 p.m., the CIC will be hosting a color festival in the plaza to celebrate inclusion. There will be obstacle courses from Banana’s and a color-throwing event.

To wrap up Unity Fest, Saturday from 5:30 – 7 p.m. in the University Center Ballroom, the Ho’olokahi Polynesian Alliance (HPA) will be hosting their 19th annual Luau.
