Colorado Mesa University celebrates Homecoming Week with the vision of including students, families, faculty and communities to enjoy and honor the time spent being a Maverick. It will offer events for all parties. This year’s theme is road trip. Events begin Oct. 19 and go until Oct. 26.

Monday Oct. 20

Rowdy’s Birthday Celebration 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. University Center

Hosted by Programing Activities Counsel; will feature cookie decorating

Tuesday Oct. 21

Homecoming T-Shirt Give-A-Way 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. University Center

Free t-shirts will be handed out

Wednesday Oct. 22

Campus Spirit Contest 

CMU Campuses are invited to participate; the winning department receives a travelling trophy, an Einstein’s Bagel bar and bragging rights. 

Game Night 7 – 10 p.m. The Point

Hosted by PAC

Thursday Oct. 23

Pub Night 8 – 11 p.m.

Will likely take place at Twisted Turtle; free entry with MavCard.

Homecoming Parade 10 a.m. Main Street 

Handmade floats are entered into competition; cash prizes are awarded for the top three. Scoring is based on creativity, originality, theme and school spirit. Prizes range from $400-800.

Women begin at 10:50 a.m. and men begin at 11:45 a.m. at Tiara Rado Golf Course

Tailgate Party 11 a.m. Stoker Stadium Parking Lot

Hosted by PAC and Student Life; foam finger decorating will be available.
