A crowd of 30 people met in the Colorado Mesa University Plaza for Remembrance Day Wednesday, where they wrote a message or the name of a fellow Mav that they have lost.
The students then attached the piece of paper to a white balloon. After a moment of silence, the students released the balloons.
The day was brought together by the Associated Student Government.
βI have had a lot of personal losses in my life,β ASG Director of External Affairs Carly Hanley said. βAn event like this is a good way for fellow students to have closure and to open themselves up for a brief five minutes to give that time for someone else.β
