The Mesa County Sheriff’s Office is currently seeking information from the public concerning the man they believe is responsible for Sunday’s robbery of the 12th Street Jimmy John’s location, according to the sheriff’s office Friday online post.
Michael Marin, 35, has warrants for his arrest from the Mesa County Sheriff’s Office, Grand Junction Police Department and the Delta Police Department, according to the sheriff’s office.
Marin is believed to be armed and dangerous, according to the sheriff’s office.
Marin, who allegedly robbed the Jimmy John’s location across from campus, is also suspected of robbing two other fast food locations in the past month, the Arby’s at Gunnison River Drive in Delta, Colo. and the Sonic Drive-In at 3203 Highway 6 & 24 in Clifton, Colo. These robberies occurred on Oct. 14 and Oct. 22, respectively.
Marin allegedly robbed the locations just before closing time, according to the sheriff’s office.
Investigators from the sheriff’s office are seeking information about Marin’s whereabouts, the car he may be driving, any known associates or where he may be staying.
Investigators are also seeking the whereabouts of Montrose citizen Jessica Rojas, 26, who they believe may have information related to the whereabouts of Marin.
“Rojas also has outstanding warrants unrelated to the robberies,” the sheriff’s office post said.
Those in the public with information about Marin or Rojas’ whereabouts are encouraged to call 911 or the non-emergency dispatch at (970) 242-6707.
“You can also call Crime Stoppers at (970) 241-STOP. Information reported to Crime Stoppers that leads to an arrest can earn you up to $1,000 cash reward and you will remain completely anonymous,” the sheriff’s office post said.
