Associated Student Government (ASG) had their first meeting of the year on Wednesday, Sept. 4. During that meeting, the new members who were running for the special elections were confirmed into their positions.
ASG never meets on the first week of school, but because the Senate was not filled for the second week of school, they ended up being a week behind.
“We just needed to get it done,” Beau Flores, ASG President said in an interview on Friday, Sept. 6. “As of right now there are no clubs asking for money as of Wednesday. On Wednesday a club asked for money for next week,” Flores said.
Despite missing a week ASG is on track with conducting business. The Presidential Cabinet missed a week of meetings mostly to find availability with organization leaders to meet, according to Flores. “We now have meetings set at 5 p.m. on Monday nights.”
