On May 8 and 9, Colorado Mesa University’s Clay Club held a ceramics sale in the University Center from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. for Mother’s Day. The proceeds from the sale are being used to send students of the Clay Club to a ceramics conference. This conference will give the students who are attending the opportunity to participate in workshops that are being led by professional artists.
The items for sale were all made by students in hand-building and wheel-throwing classes over this past year. Instructors made things to be placed in the sale as well.
Items for sale ranged from earrings, ceramic pots with plants in them, bowls, vases, and even shot glasses.
