Beau Flores was re-elected as Associated Student Government president at Colorado Mesa University Tuesday afternoon, with Angel Bautista to serve as his vice president.
“I will win,” Flores said Monday evening. “I will leave a legacy here.”
Last year, Flores was the first Hawaiian ASG president. In May of 2020, he will be the first to serve two full consecutive terms since the 1990s.
Flores and Bautista won 73 percent of student votes over their opponents, Senators Lauren Mason and Alex Wagner with the campaign platform of leadership, support of first generation students, community, athletics and involvement.
Flores and Bautista will step into their positions for the fall semester and remain there until the following May.
