The community in CMU approached a three year high of $7.4 million in the year 2017-18. Donors gave CMU $4.4 million in the 2015-16 year and $6.7 million in 2016-17.
“This money not only improves the lives of students but is critical when it comes to planning for additional exciting programs and projects in the future,” President of the CMU Foundation Board of Directors Clara Brown Shaffer said.
The foundation now has a record breaking milestone as its resources reached more than $30 million, with $1.4 million of the 2018 gifts guided to it’s permanent endowment.
“What makes our community unique is that these funds aren’t just contributed by a select few donors,” CMU Foundation CEO Liz Meyer said. “In fact, in 2017-2018, more than 5,000 unique donors gave more than 7,400 gifts, showing a broad base of support throughout western Colorado and beyond.”
