Freshmen to Seniors, there are many things to participate in this week on campus. With it being Welcome Week there are opportunities for prizes, free food and meeting new people.
Meet the Mavily on Monday and the TNL Snow Cone gathered the students on campus. But, if you missed the first day of festivities don’t fret for there are many more opportunities.
Tuesday let’s get our laughs on with PAC’s Welcome Week Comedian. This will take place at 5 p.m. in the University Center Ballroom. Derek Hughes is the comedian who you may have seen on America’s Got Talent. He is a Stand up Magician and was a finalist on the 2015 America’s Got Talent. Stressed or anxious after the first two days of class? Take a chance to laugh it off.

Wednesday night take a chance to win some prizes at Grocery Bingo. This will take place at 6 p.m. at the Plaza.
Thursday night is packed with overlapping events. Beginning at 6 p.m. Truth Matters Games and Grill Night. This will take place on the Alumni Field and will last till 8 p.m. Then PAC’s Movie Night in the quad featuring the Avengers Infinity War. Get food and have fun, then sit back and relax while watching an action packed movie.
Friday take a leap into the theater arts and head over to the Mesa Experimental theater. At 7:30 p.m. Jeremy Franklin and Doug Morrow will be doing a Cabaret called Tangents. After, head over to the Glow Party to celebrate the end of the first week.

Saturday it’s time to grab your tents and sleeping bags for Drama Society’s camping on the Quad. Head over to the quad at 7 p.m. and pitch your tent.

If camping is not your thing then there is another chance to hit up the Cabaret at 7:30 p.m.
Sunday, after sleeping on the field, head over to the Grand Valley Student Ministry BBQ at 9 a.m. Later there is the Welcome week Catholic Mass at 3 p.m. in University Center room 213.
Take advantage of this one week where the work load may not be dragging you down and get out and about on campus.
