ASG elections were hosted on MavZone Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday of last week. Only 7.78 percent of students voted.
“That’s actually a pretty impressive turnout, sadly,” ASG Director of External Affairs Stephanie Summar said. “Last year, less than half that number voted [for the ASG presidential election.]”
Telbe Storbeck and Ariel Diamond won the presidential and vice presidential ticket by 16 votes. Amberlee Sikes and Megan Velarde tied for Student Trustee.
“[ASG President] Justin [Kawcak] says he believes they’re going to share the position as co-trustees,” Summar said. “It’s the second time in school history the position was tied and that was the solution before.”
