With fewer activities and more presentation, this week is one for the academics. 

A few presentations this week:

A studying abroad presentation will take place on Wednesday in the University Center room 222 from 12 to 12:45 p.m. Thursday in the UC Ballroom there will be a sex education panel hosted by the sociology club from 6 to 9 p.m.

Week three of foundations in personal finance will be on Tuesday and Wednesday again. This week is on debt. Tuesday will be in room 221 in the UC from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Wednesday will be in the same room and the same time. 

In the library on Thursday, there will be a data and imagery meet presentation on spatial literacy. 

This week is huge for the music and theater departments for there are two concerts and the opening night of the first-semester performance. Thursday there is the Winter Choral Concert beginning at 7:30 p.m.

It is also the opening for “Thoroughly Modern Millie” at 7:30 p.m. This is a musical and will run from the Feb. 22 – March 3. There will be performances Thursday through Saturday night and one matinee on Sunday. Saturday also brings sounds from the Mesa Winds performing at 7:30 p.m. 

Two adventures this week, both over the weekend. There is the Crested Butte ski trip Saturday through Sunday and the Orvis Extravaganza in Ouray Saturday through Sunday. 

Mavericks have one team at home, Softball for a tournament this weekend against Chardon State College. 

Tuesday the Student Nurses Association is hosting a fundraiser at Zoup from 5 to 8 p.m. 

The Association of Feminists is hosting the American Civil Liberties Union from Denver on Saturday in the UC center from 2 to 5 p.m.
