Midterms are just around the corner and seniors are ready to graduate.

Colorado Mesa University (CMU) students who plan on graduating this upcoming Spring 2022 semester need to fill out the Intent to Graduate form by Oct.1.

The Intent to Graduate form is from the Registrar’s office for students who are wrapping up their academic careers and looking into graduating in May 2022. Students can find the form by searching its name on the website www.forms.coloradomesa.edu. If the form is not submitted by the due date the Registrar holds the right to reject the form.

The form is online, so that takes the pressure off trying to turn it in in person on time.

“Now that it’s an e-form it’s a lot more accessible,” IRIS Advisor Joshua Russel said.

The e-form asks students for the semester they started the major they are graduating with, which ceremony option they would like to have, how they would like their name to show on the diploma, what majors or minors they are graduating with and other personal information. Student’s names and 700 numbers (student ID) are automatically entered through the Etrieve Central program. Common mistakes students need to keep an eye out for are choosing the correct major and not leaving information blank.

“Most importantly, [do not wait] until the last minute because that just makes it more difficult on them and the school. There is a lot that has to get processed,” IRIS Team Lead Jesus Macias said.
