Apr. 4: Timothy Doty, 55, was arrested after he attempted to steal a student’s bicycle from 1159 Mesa Ave. Doty was charged with trespassing and possession of burglary tools. According to the police report, Doty was seen attempting to steal a bicycle locked in a bike rack in front of Pinon Hall and the police were notified. The police recognized Doty, who has been arrested multiple times for bike theft and has been prohibited from CMU property after previous trespassing.
Apr. 5: CMU student had his vehicle broken into and items stolen while parked in the University Center parking garage, 1455 N. 12th St.
Apr. 6: Nicholas Rizzo, 19, was arrested and released on a summons for drug paraphernalia at 1280 Cannell Ave.
