Regis University announced Monday morning that they have hired former Colorado Mesa University Athletic Director Tom Spicer. “I am very appreciative of this opportunity to work with David and everyone associated with Regis University,” Spicer said in an interview with the Regis University athletic department. “Our goal is to enhance Regis University’s mission while developing new resources for future needs.”

Spicer spent the last four years with the CMU athletic program before his departure in the spring. During his tenure with the Mavericks, he helped the athletic department win nine regular season Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) championships, seven RMAC tournament titles, 20 regular season championships and 13 RMAC tournament championships.

CMU’s men’s soccer team will be squaring off against Spicer’s new home on Sunday for the CMU’s first matchup against Regis this season in any sport this season.
