A new coffee shop with the option to order drinks with Cannabidiol (CBD) oil opened in Palisade on Friday, Feb 1.
The owners of Pressed claim that CBD in their beverages prevents the “caffeine crash” that comes from drinking coffee. Pressed will also offer the option to put CBD in cocktails and wine.
Pressed uses locally grown hemp, raised by one of the owners, to get their CBD. “I take it as just a regular supplement,” Co-owner Christina Terrell said. “It does not have THC in it, so you are not going to get high from this. You are only going to get the benefits of the hemp plants. And that’s the beauty of it.”
Only a 20-minute drive from campus, Pressed is open 6 a.m.-9 p.m. Tuesdays-Saturdays and 6 a.m.-noon on Sundays and Mondays.
