The Associated Student Government President’s Cabinet meeting on Monday, Feb. 11 involved discussion about bringing the Literary Review and Greek Life into Student Life.

The Criterion proposed to give the Literary Review and Greek Life breathing room; pledging money to give both organizations a place to call their own.

“We’re, in my opinion, family when it comes to the printed word,” Editor in Chief Christopher DeLeon said, regarding the Literary Review, “and I think it’s a travesty that they’re relegated to the closet. At the same time, Greek Life feels like they’re not a part of things. I think it’s essential for the function of Student Life that we bring everybody in, that we give them their space and let them feel a part of this.”

The members of the cabinet spent time talking about the logistics of the plan. Someone even suggested blowing out one of the walls of the University Center and building a new office space. In the end, they left resolving to fix the issue by first communicating with their respective organizations at their separate meetings, while tabling it in the meantime. The project was dubbed the “Organization Inclusion Act.”
